And The Winner Is ...
Thanks to everyone who participated in the July book drawing contest. My youth group voted tonight and the winner is ...
Leap of Faith by Maria.
Congratulations! Thank you all for participating. I will probably do another one later this month (August)
Maria, please send me a mailing address by email or FB message.
In case you are interested, here is some background to the photo. I was at Family Bible Camp in Pray, Montana (just north of Yellowstone Park). I was the speaker for the week. As part of my powerpoing presentations I showed pictures I had taken during the day of camp activities and scenery. Some of the kids wanted to make sure they were in some of the photos so they would take my camera to get pics they wanted, or would take pictues of their own cameras and bring them to me. A bunch of boys went on a hike and took multiple pics of each other and gave them to me to show. This is one of their pictures. (Added 8/8/10)
Free Book Contest - Name That Picture
If you can think of a good caption for this picture, enter it in the comments section. In two weeks I'll have my youth group pick their favorite one and I will award the winner with a copy of my book Roaring Lions, Cracking Rocks and Other Gems From Proverbs.
Note: I am at Bible Camp again ... this is my third week of the summer! I've done two weeks numerous times before, but this is my first time to do three. I'm teaching 15 classes this week, most of them from Proverbs. I have sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school and some college freshmen.
Here is the picture!
Note: You can click on the photo to enlarge it. After the contest I will explain the picture.

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:31, NIV)
A rattler??? I'm outa here!
Praying for strength, wisdom and grace for you as you complete your third week at camp! God bless you for investing your time in building the lives of young people!
Great picture! My entry for Name that Picture would have to be: A Leap of Faith.
Have a blessed week!
Hmm.
*Hop* "I can fly!"
"Leaping into victory"
Love that photo and I pray your camp and family are doing well Warren. I have missed my visits. I'll have to catch up. It's a busy summer for me and my family too.
Praying for you all now...
Blessings!
I'm not entering to win (I'm reading the book now), but I thought of this verse:
Malachi 4:2
But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.
Love the 'leap of faith!' Great one!
"Stretched to the Limits"
If I win, please pick another winner. I have your book and what I've read so far is GREEEAATT!
Not feeling creative tonight with titles. :)
Enjoy your busy teaching summer.
"A Spirit of Now"
“Gotta go…gotta go…gotta go NOW"! Where is that outhouse??
lol, I have no clue but looks kind of fun. ;)
I love this picture - the story behind it is a great one! Someone already used my suggestion of "leap of faith" so I'll have to think of another one.
I hope you are having a great time at camp... again!
Bill says... you know the old saying if a tree falls in the forest when no one is around, does it make a sound.. this picture says 'Guess you need more than two in a forest to have gravity!'
Leave it up to Bill to think of something like that... we're not in it for the book either - we have a couple and they are great! :)
